Install ForgeIPTV
on Fire TV.

Use the Downloader app to install ForgeIPTV directly from forgeiptv.com.

1 Before you start

You need an Amazon Fire TV connected to the Internet, the Downloader app and a few minutes. No PC is needed.

ForgeIPTV is distributed directly from forgeiptv.com, not through Amazon Appstore at present. These steps apply to compatible Fire TV devices that support installing APKs; menu names and availability vary by device and Fire OS version.

2 Install Downloader

  1. Open Search on your Fire TV.
  2. Search for Downloader.
  3. Install the Downloader app from Amazon Appstore.
  4. Open Downloader.

3 Allow Downloader to install apps

Fire OS may ask you to allow Downloader to install unknown apps. A typical path is:

Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install unknown apps → Downloader → ON

The wording and location are not the same on every Fire TV. If the system offers this permission when you try to install the APK, you can allow Downloader at that point and return to the installer.

Developer Options missing?

On some Fire TV versions, Developer Options may be hidden. Open Settings → My Fire TV → About, then select the Fire TV’s name or model repeatedly until the device confirms that Developer Options are enabled. Return to My Fire TV and look for Developer Options.

You do not need to enable ADB debugging or disable the device’s global security protections for this guide.

4 Open forgeiptv.com

  1. In Downloader, select the URL field or browser address field.
  2. Enter this address exactly, then open it:
forgeiptv.com/download/tv

You do not need to type https://. This is ForgeIPTV’s official TV download page; the address stays the same for future releases.

5 Download the APK

  1. On the official download page, select Download APK.
  2. Wait for the download to finish.
  3. The Fire OS installer should open when the APK has downloaded. If it does not, select the downloaded APK in Downloader.

6 Install ForgeIPTV

  1. Select Install.
  2. Wait for installation to finish.
  3. Select Open to launch ForgeIPTV, or Done to return to Downloader.

If a security notice appears

The system may say that the source or developer is not recognized. Check that you downloaded the APK from forgeiptv.com. If you choose to continue, select Install anyway or the equivalent option offered by your device. The exact wording can vary. Do not disable global device protections.

7 First launch

Open ForgeIPTV and connect your own legal M3U playlist or Xtream Codes account. ForgeIPTV for TV offers a 7-day free trial, with TV licensing managed by ForgeIPTV separately from Windows.

ForgeIPTV is a player, not an IPTV provider. It does not provide channels, playlists, streams, IPTV subscriptions or copyrighted content. You bring your own source that you are legally authorized to use.

8 Updating ForgeIPTV

ForgeIPTV can notify you when a new version is available. Updates are installed manually, not automatically.

Do not uninstall ForgeIPTV before updating.

  1. When an update notice appears, select Download update.
  2. This may open Downloader. Open or continue to forgeiptv.com/download/tv.
  3. Select Download APK and wait for the new APK to download.
  4. Install it over the existing ForgeIPTV app.
  5. Open ForgeIPTV when installation finishes.

You can also check the official download page manually and follow the same download and installation steps.

Uninstalling or clearing app data can remove your connections, favorites, playback progress, Recently Watched and local settings. Correctly installed updates are designed to preserve local data, but cannot guarantee preservation against corruption, data deletion or device failure.

9 Troubleshooting

Downloader says it cannot install the app

Check that Downloader is allowed under Install unknown apps, then return to the installer and try again. The permission may be offered when you attempt installation.

The Install button is unavailable

Review the installation permissions. Try closing and reopening Downloader, or restarting your Fire TV, then try again.

Download fails

Check your Internet connection, reopen forgeiptv.com/download/tv in Downloader and retry the download.

ForgeIPTV is already installed

Do not uninstall it. Install the new official APK over the existing version to update.

Update notification does not appear immediately

ForgeIPTV checks for updates periodically. Try restarting ForgeIPTV or your Fire TV and check again later. Do not clear ForgeIPTV’s app data.
